Biography
I am a surgical resident in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery from Calgary, Canada with an interest in clinical research and basic science. I completed an undergraduate degree in a Biomedical Sciences at the University of Calgary and completed a thesis on a low cost molecular diagnostic technique for detection of malaria parasites. My current research focus involves development of bedside diagnostic tests and devices to improve patient care and inform clinical decision making. My work in the Sarwal lab as a Master of Translational Medicine student through UC San Francisco and UC Berkeley has a similar focus. My goal is to gain a skill set to allow me to further my current research and develop innovative solutions to problems in the fields of surgery and head and neck oncology.
