I received my medical education at the University of Texas - Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. I continued my residency training in Internal Medicine in Dallas. There I became interested in renal physiology and caring for patients with renal disease. After completing a clinical year of Nephrology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, I joined the Sarwal lab to pursue my interests in diabetic kidney disease.
