Biography
Neil T. Mercer, M.S. joined the Sarwal Lab as an Associate Specialist in October 2016. He recently received his M.S. in Biostatistics from University of California, Los Angeles in 2016. During his training at UCLA, he worked at the Center for HIV Identification, Prevention, and Treatment Services (CHIPTS) as a Data Manager. Between Neil's Bachelors degree and his Masters degree, he worked as a Data Analyst in Industry.
At UCSF, Neil is helping the Sarwal Lab analyze and integrate various types of high-throughput molecular measurements: including genetic, genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, antibodiomic, miRNA, metabolomics, and clinical data. In addition, it is his responsibility to perform various statistical analyses of the "omic" data that have been generated in the laboratory, as well as publicly available data.
